U Maine fiscal irresponsibility appears to be an ongoing problem; see Portland Paper regarding USM overspending by millions of dollars. No more funding should be approved until UM puts in place a realistic accounting system and holds people who handle monies, responsible for blatant mistakes and general fical carelessness.
