Very shortsighted. The passage of this bill would have attracted recent military retirees to the state of Maine in droves...bringing with them federal retirement dollars and college educations and discretionary spending. Most retirees will hold second jobs generating income tax dollars on those jobs. Now I am sure most will go to the states that do not tax military retirement pay. It never fails to amaze me!
