Great idea. Maine has a long history of supporting the environment. Shouldn't we reward citizens who do the same when they buy a clean car?

I’m tired of our state government picking who the winners and losers are. I believe in the free market…let the customer choose. Soon these state bureaucrats are going to place a carbon tax on petroleum products (as if the price wasn’t expensive enough!) then they’ll allow a tax break to whatever alternative fuel strikes their fancy, thus artificially making the alternative fuel look attractive. Keep the government out of my life. This is supposed to be the land of the free!

A tax break for sanctimonious rich people, so that Joe Citizen can pick up part of the cost for them to buy a Toyota Pious.
